LAMA LAKSHEY ZANGPO: Being Fearless in Difficult Times, May 7, 2011
Saturday, May 7, 2011, 2-5pm ~ Napa, CA
Flier for the event Lama Lakshey flier 5.7.11
Flier TQ flier 5.7.11 for Tibetan Qigong class to benefit the Joru Foundation.
As we read the daily headlines about war, world wide financial instability and major disasters such as the recent earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident in Japan, our own lives can feel threatened or out of control. Our natural reactions might be apprehension, fear or perhaps an overwhelming sense of powerlessness that little or nothing can be done to protect ourselves and our loved ones, or even to help others in the face of such great need.
You are invited to a public talk given by Lama Lakshey Zangpo, “Being Fearless in Difficult Times.” Lama Lakshey (www.tsintamani.org) teaches in the Nyingma Buddhist tradition but his words will be relevant and inspirational to all who are interested in finding new ways of coping with and understanding an uncertain world.
Lama Lakshey was born and educated in Tibet. His goal is to merge traditional culture with modern thinking. In 2008 he helped to found a non-profit organization, the Joru Foundation (www.jorufoundation.org), which is dedicated to the education of orphaned and underprivileged children inside Tibet.
Suggested donation is $25. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Location: First United Methodist Church, 625 Randolph St., Napa. LOCATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
To preregister & confirm location call (707) 224-5613 or email info@tibetanqigongnv.org.
Sponsored by the CENTER FOR TIBETAN QIGONG-NAPA VALLEY, a 501(c)(3) organization.
